(1) These rules may be called the Haryana Prison Rules, 2022

(1) These rules may be called the Haryana Prison Rules, 2022. (2) These rules shall apply to all prisons in the State with regard to its administration and management, staff members, convicts, under-trial prisoners, civil prisoners, female prisoners, young offenders, and detainees under preventive detention laws. (3) These rules shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette. (4) The establishment and management of prisons, the confinement, release, treatment, and transfer of prisoners, the maintenance of discipline, and all other matters relating to prisons and prisoners shall also be governed by the enactments for the time being in force, including inter alia the following, namely: - Part 1 Central and State Acts (i) The Indian Penal Code, 1860 (Central Act 45 of 1860) (ii) The Prisons Act, 1894 (Central Act 9 of 1894) (iii) The Prisoners Act, 1900 (Central Act 3 of 1900) (iv) The Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (Central Act 5 of 1908) (v) The Criminal Procedure (Identification) Act, 2022 (Central Act 11 of 2022) (vi) The Factories Act, 1948 (Central Act 63 of 1948) (vii) The Transfer of Prisoners Act, 1950 (Central Act 29 of 1950) (viii) The Representation of People's Act,1951 (Central Act 43 of 1951) (ix) The Prisoners (Attendance in Courts) Act, 1955 (Central Act 32 of 1955) (x) The Foreigner Act, 1946 (Central Act 31 of 1946) (xi) The Probation of Offenders Act, 1958 (Central Act 20 of 1958) (xii) The Arms Act, 1959 (Central Act 54 of 1959) (xiii) The Haryana Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act,2022 (15 of 2022) (xiv) The Code of Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974) (xv) The National Security Act, 1980 (Central Act 65 of 1980) (xvi) The Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993 (Central Act 10 of 1994) (xvii) The Repatriation of Prisoners Act, 2003 (Central Act 49 of 2003) (xviii) The Right to Information Act, 2005 (Central Act 22 of 2005) (xix) The Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014 ( 4 of 2014) (xx) The Juvenile Justice Act, 2015 (Central Act 2 of 2016) (xxi) The Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 (Central Act 10 of 2017) 1200 HARYANA GOVT.
