(1) The superintendence, direction and control of the preparation of electoral rolls for, and the conduct of, all elections to the Corporation, shall be vested in the State Election Commission consisting of a State Election Commissioner to be appointed by the Governor. 4[(lA) The functions of the State Election Commission under the Constitution, this Act or the rules made thereunder may, subject to such general or special directions, if any, issued by the State Election Commissioner in this behalf, be performed by an officer authorized by the State Election Commissioner.] Omitted by Haryana Act 14 of 2017. 2 Inserted by Haryana Act 14 of 2017.
