Contravention of provisions regarding employment of labour ­ Whoever, save as permitted by section 38, contravenes any provision of this Act or of any regulation rule, bye-law or of any order made thereunder prohibiting retricting or regulating the employment or presence of persons in or about a mine shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.
