(1) The Lokayukta may appoint in consultation with the State Government, such officers and staff as he may consider appropriate for the discharge of functions under this Act. (2) The categories of officers and staff who may be appointed under sub-section (1) above and their conditions of service shall be such as may be prescribed in consultation with the Lokayukta.
