An Inspector at all reasonable hours, with such assistants, if any, being persons in the service of the Government, as he thinks fit, may enter any premises in which a lift or an escalator is installed or in connection with which an application for registration has been received, for the purpose of inspecting the lift or escalator or their installation or the site thereof.
