The Director or any other officer authorized by him in this behalf may, for the purpose of discharging his duties under this Act, require the owner or occupier of any building to supply information with respect to the character of such building, the available water supplies and means of access thereto and any other material particulars as he may deem necessary and such owner or occupier shall be liable to furnish all information under his possession.
