(1) There shall be a Dean of eeiaft Faculty who shalt be appointed by the Vice -Chancellor. The Dean shall he appointed in rotation on the basis of seniority amongsi the professors in various departments comprising. the Faculty: Provided that a professor appointed as Dean, shall get his next turn after the professors in the Faculty, have been appointed as Dean itt Ceder of their seniority: Provided further that in case there is no professor in the Faculty, the Dean shall be appointed from amongst the associate professor in the concerned departments. (2) Suitable remuneration shall be attached to the office of the Dean who shall hold office for a term of three years. (3) The Dean shall convene meetings of the Faculty and shall preside over them. (4) The Dean shall be responsible for the co-ordination of teaching therein and the execution of the decision of the Faculty. (5) The Dean shall have the right to be present and to take part in discussion Sr. any meeting of cony:Mace of the Faculty. 2 L Subject to the control of the Academic Council, the powers of the (a) to co-ordinate teaching and research work of the -University in the departments assigned to the Faculty; (N) to recommend to the Academic Council, the courses of studies and syjlabi for the different examinations after necessary reports from the Boards of Studies; Dean of Facultic:4.
