Use of internal combustion engine:-The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that no internal combustion engine is used underground in excavation or tunnelling work unless such engine is so constructed that— (a) the air entering the engine gets cleared before entry; and (b) no fumes or sparks are emitted by the engine. 68 The Building and Other Construction Workers‘ (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Central Rules, 1998 Rule 141
