(I) The term of office of an elected or a nominated member shall be three years: Provided that an outgoing member shall, unless the State Government otherwise directs, continue in office until the election or nomination, as the case may be, of his successor is notified. (2) The term of office of an ex -officio member shall continue so long as he holds the office by virtue of which he is a member. (3) An outgoing member shall be eligible for being elected or nomi- nated again.
