The University shall be open to all women irrespective of race, creed, caste or class; and no test or condition shall be imposed as to religion, belief or profession in admitting or appointing members, students, teachers, workers, or in any other connection whatsoever and no benefaction shall be accepted which in the opinion of the authorities of the University involves conditions or obligations opposed to the spirit and objectives of this provision: University open to all races, castes and creeds. 6 Chancellor Provided that nothing contained in this section shall be deemed to prevent the University from making any special provisions in respect of weaker sections of the society and in particular Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
