Any casual vacancy arising in the office of a nominated member by reason of his death, resignation, removal or disability or otherwise, before the expiry of his term of office shall be filled up within a period not exceeding six months from the date when such vacancy occurs, in such manner, as may be prescribed and such person shall hold office for the residual period of the term of the member in whose vacancy he has been nominated.
