(1) Save as otherwise expressly provided in any special law for the time being in force, no person other than a veterinary practitioner whose name is entered in the register maintained under this Act, shall practise any veterinary science in the State : Provided that the State Government may, by notification in the No refund of fees. (2) Any person who acts in contravention of the provisions of sub-section (1) shall, on conviction, be punished- (i) for the first offence with fine which may extend to two hundered and fifty rupees; and (ii) for the second or subsequent offence with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees.
