(1) The Executive Council shall be the principal administrative body of the University. (2) The Executive Council of the Universi~ shall consist of the following members, namely: - (i) the Vice-Chancellor, who shall~ be the Chairman, PA~RT 9-13 (ii) (iii) (iv) (v) Secretary to the Government of G~arat, Health and Family Welfare Department, ex-offxcio or his representative not below the rank of Deputy Secretary; Commissioner, Health, Medical Education and Research, Gujarat State, ex cio or his representative not below the rank of Joint Director; Two members of the Board of Governors to be nominated by it; and Two eminent persons in the field of transplantation sciences, to be nominated by the Board of Governors. (3) The Registrar shall be the Secretary of the Executive Council. (4) The term of office of the members other than the ex ~cio members, shall be three years. (5) Any nominated member may resign from his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Vice-Chancellor and his resignation shall take effect from such date as accepted by the Vice" Chancellor.
