For the purposes of this Act, an officer appointed under sub-section (1) of section 46 or the Town Planning Officer or the Board of Appeal shall have the same powers of a civil court while trying a suit under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 in respect of the following matters, namely :- Powers of civil court in respect of certain matters.
