When a slum area has been declared to be a slum clearance area under clear ,s!nmsection II, occupiers of buildings included in that area shall be required ·~~ demoli~h to vacate them within such period as may be specified in the declaration building~. and the owners of such buildings in that area shall demolish the buildings in that area before the expiration of such period after the period spe-ci- fied for vacating the buildings as may be prescribed.
