The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, exempt from all or any of the provisions of this Act any secondary school which is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or to the Indian Public School Confer- ence, New Delhi or is maintained by any University or by institution recognised by the University Grants Commission or declared by the Central Government as Universities in accordance with the provisions of clause (f) of section 2 or of section 3 as the case may be, of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
