(1) The State Governement may, on the recommendation of the Board and after making such inquiry, if any, as it may think fit to make, remove any elected or nominated member of the Board from office, if such member has been guilty of any such misconduct as in the opinion of the State Government, renders him unfit to be continued as a member; Provided that, no such recommendation shall be made by the Board and no removal of the member shall be made by the State Government unless the member to whom it relates has been given a reasonable opportunity of showing cause why such recommendation should not be made, or as the case may be, why he should not be removed. (2) The name of any member who has been removed from office under sub-section (1) shall be published by the Board in Official Gazette.
