(1) The Mamlatdar may, either of his own motion or on an application received in this behalf from a Girasdar, issue an occupancy certificate to the Girasdar in such form as may be prescribed in respect of the Gharkhed comprised in his estate and the land allotted to him in accordance with the provisions of Chapter IV. (2) A Girasdar shall become an occupant in respect of his Gharkhed and the land allotted to him in accordance with the provisions of Chapter IV, as from the date of the issue of occupancy certificate.
