The Bombay Government Premises (Eviction) Act, 1955 and any other corresponding law providing for the eviction of occupants from public premises are hereby repealed: Provided that anything done or any action taken (including rules or orders made, notices issued, evictions ordered or effected, damages assessed, rents or damages or costs recovered and proceedings initated) or purported to have been done or taken under the Act or law hereby repealed shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act, and shall be deemed to be, and to have always been, as valid and effective as if such thing or action was done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act, as if this Act had been in force when such thing was done or such action was taken. -------------------------------- Repeal, saving and validation.
