Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph 22, the State Government may— (1) in the notification referred to in the said paragraph 22 provide for appointment of an Administrator instead of constitution of interim authorities referred to in items (i) to (iv) of sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph 22, (2) by notification in the Official Gazette provide for appointment of an Ad ministrator on the expiry of the term of interim authorities rererred to in items (i) to (iv) of sub-paragraph (a) of the said paragraph 22 and continuation of the interim aothorities referred to in itmes (v) and (vi) of the said paragraph (a) for such period as may be specified in the notification, and the provisions of section 7 A shall, so far as may be apply to the appointment of such Administrator.]
