Clause (dd) was inserted by Guj. 30 of 2019, s.2(i). The Gujarat Professional Technical Educational Colleges or Institutions [2008:Guj. 2 (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fees) Act, 2007. 2 (e) "Government college or institution" means a professional educational college or institution run and managed by the State Government; (f) "Government" means the Government of Gujarat; (g) "Government seats" means,- (i) all the seats of the professional courses in the Government colleges or institutions and in the aided colleges or institutions; and 1[(ii) fifty per cent. (50%) seats of the professional courses of the total approved seats in the unaided colleges or institutions;] 2[(iii) all supernumerary seats of the professional courses in the Government colleges or institutions and in the aided and unaided colleges or institutions;] 3[(gg) “GTERS or the Gujarat Technical Education and Research Society (GTERS)” means a society constituted by the Education Department, Government of Gujarat under the Government Resolution No. MIS/102013/104/S, dated the 31st December, 2013;] 4[(h) “Management seats” means fifty per cent. (50%) seats of the professional courses of the total approved seats in the unaided colleges or institutions including fifteen per cent. (15%) of Non-Resident Indian seats; and also includes seats for Foreign National Students; and students from any State (including Gujarat);] (i) "Non-Resident Indian seats" means fifteen per cent. seats reserved for children or wards or the dependents for the education purpose, of the Non-Resident Indian, to whom admission is to be given on the management seats in the unaided educational colleges or institutions 5[on the basis of fulfillment of equivalency of eligibility requirements for admission as ascertained by the competent authority as may be specified by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India;] (j) "prescribed" means prescribed by the rules made under this Act; (k) "Professional courses" means,- (i) Bachelor of Engineering and Technology and the Diploma in Engineering; (ii) Bachelor of Pharmacy and the Diploma in Pharmacy;
