(1) The amount specified in the award 4[shall be paid in the prescribed manner] person entitled thereto. (2) Where the amount awarded is not paid at the time of or before taking possession of the private forest, the amount awarded shall be payable with interest thereon at the rate of four and a half per cent. per annum from the lime of taking possession till the time the amount is paid.
