(1) Where any private forest vests in the State Government under the provisions of this Act, any person who is in possession of such forest at the time of such vesting shall immediately hand over possession thereof to the Collector or to any other officer authorised by the State Government or by the Collector in this behalf. (2) Any person not handing over possession as required by sub-section (1) shall be deemed to be in unauthorised occupation of such forest and shall be liable to be summarily evicted.
