Every district school board shall be a body corporate by the "The District School Board of......", and shall have perpetual succession and common seal and may sue and be sued in its corporate name, and shall be competent to acquire and hold property both moveable and immovable, whether within or without the limits of its area, to lease, sell or otherwise transfer any moveable or immovable property which may have become vested in or been acquired it, and to contract and do all things necessary for the purposes of this Act.
