Bom. V of 1879. Determination of local area. Settlement of standard areas. Determination and revision of standard areas. Bombay Prevention of Fragmentation and Consolidation of Holdings Act,1947 [1947 : Bom .LXII notification under sub-section (2) of section 4 of the village concerned and making such further inquiry as it may deem fit, determine the standard area for each class of land in such local area. (2) The 23[State] Government may, at any time, if it deems fit expedient so to do, revise a standard area determined under sub-section (1). Such revision shall be made in the manner laid down in section 4 and sub-section (1). (3) The 26[State] Government shall, by notification in the Official Gazette, and in such other manner as may be prescribed, give public notice of any standard area determined under sub-section (1) or revised under sub-section (2).
