WHEREAS it is expedient to make uniform and better provision for the pre- vention of begging in the State of Bombay; for the detention, training and em- ployment of beggars and their dependants in certain institutions; for the custody, trial and punishment of beggar offenders; and for these and other purposes to consolidate and amend the law relating to beggars; It is hereby enacted in the Tenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- CHAPTER I.
