(I) The Finance Commiuee of the Board shall consist of the Finan« following members, namely:- (i) the Vice-Chancellor- Chairperson; (ii) the Secretary to the Government of Gujarat, Finance Department or his nominee not below the rank of Deputy Secretary; (iii) the Secretary to the Government of Gujarat, Agriculture Department or his nominee not below the tank of Deputy Secretary; (iv) one Director or Dean from amougst the Board Members, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; (v) one nominee of the Board; (vi) the Comptroller - Member-Secretary. The Registrar shall be the non-member invitee. (2) The Finance Committee shall have the following functions, namely:- (i) to examine the annual accounts and budget estimates of the University and to advise the Board thereon; (ii) to review the financial position of the University from time to time; (iii) to make recommendations to the Board on all matters relating to the finances of the University.
