Unless otherwise provided by a notification under section 2, Hindi and Gujarati shall from such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in respect thereof, be the languages to be used for — (a) all Bills introduced, or amendments thereto moved in the State Legislature, (b) all Acts passed by the State Legislature and all Ordinances promulgated by the Governor under article 213 of the Constitution, and (c) all orders, rules, regulations and bye-laws issued by the State Government under the Constitution or under any law made by Parliament or the State Legislature. ------------------------------ 1 For Statement of Objects and Reasons, see Gujarat Government Gazette, 1960, Part V, p. 118. 2.This Act was assented to by the Governor on ------------ Short title, extent and commencement.
