The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, direct that all or any of the provisions of this Act which are in force in any village or other local area shall apply to buffalo- bulls in such village or local area from the date specified in such modification and thereupon the reference to bulls and cows in the provisions of this Act so applied shall be construed as references to buffalo-bulls and buffalo-cows respectively and this shall apply accordingly.
