(2) [t shall not be lawful for the University 10 impose on any person an)' test whatSoever relating 10 religious belief. race. creed. caste, sex, place of binh, class and political or other opinion m order to entnle him to be admitted as a teacher or a stud<:nl of the Uni,er;;ity or to hold any office or post m the C.:mvers1ty or to quah fy for any degree. diploma or other academic distinctton or to enJOY or eAcrc1sc any pri' ileges of the Cni,crsity or any benefaction tbcrcof. (3) Subject to the provisions contained in sub-sections (l) and (2), the Stale Govcnuncnt may direct tbat the University ~ha ll reserve, for members or the Socially and Educationally Backward Class<;;S, Scheduled Castes.
