(I) The Board may with the approval of the Chancellor. remove any person from membership of any authority or body of the University on the t,'Tound that his conduct is not befitting the office held by him: Pr°' ided that prior approval of the Chancellor shall not be required where such person has been comicted of a cruninal offence invoh mg moral t11rpin1dc by court oflaw: Provided fonhcr that no order for removal shal! be passed agamst any mt:mher without giving him an opportunity ofbemg heard. (2) A person who is a member of any authority or body of tl1c University as a representative of another body whether of the University or not shall c.:ase to b<: a member of such authority or body if~ ceao;es to be a member of that other body from wluch he was appointed. nominated or co- optcd (3) \\'h~'TIC\'Cr any person becomes a member of any authority or body of the linivcrsity by Yirtue of the office held by him, he shall cease to be a member of such authority or body. if he ceases to hold such oflice. (4) Any member, other than an ex-offic10 member of any authority or body of the University, may resign bis office by letter addressed to the Vice-Chancellor through the Registrar and such resignation ~hall take effect from the date on willch the same 1s accepted by the aulhonty competent to fill the vacancy or on the expiry of three months from the date of receipt of the letter by the Vice-Chancellor, whiche\'er is earlier.
