The Board shall quinquennially have a valuation of its assets and liabilities made by a valuer appointed with the approval of the State Government : Provided that it shall be open to the State Government to direct a valuation to be made at any time it may consider necessary. Reports. Other statements and returns. Powers of entry. Notice of suit against Board. Quinquennial valuation of assets and liabilities of the Board. The Gujarat Housing Board Act, 1961 22 of 27 72[72A. Notwithstanding anything contained in the foregoing provisions of this Act, it shall be lawful for the Board to undertake on behalf of the Government or a local authority or a corporation owned or controlled by the Government 73[or a co-operative society registered or deemed to have been registered under the Gujarat Co-operative Societies Act, 1961] subject to such terms and conditions including payment of cost as may be agreed upon in pursuance of a contract or otherwise, the construction of building intended to be used as a hospital, dispensary, school or for any other charitable purpose as may be entrusted to it by the Government or a local authority or such corporation 74[or such co-operative society] : Provided that no such construction shall be undertaken on behalf of a local authority or any such corporation 75[or any such co-operative society], except with the previous sanction of the State Government.]
