(1) No person other than registered practitioners or an enlisted practitioner shall practice the Homeopathic system of medicine. (2) Any person who contravenes the provisions of sub-section (1) shall, on conviction, be punished. (i) for a first offence, with imprisonment for a term, which may extend to five hundred rupees, and (ii) for a second offence, with imprisonment for a term, which may extend to six months and with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees; and (iii) for a third and subsequent offences, with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years and with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees. (3) The foregoing provisions of this section shall take effect in the Saurashtra area and Kutch area of the State from such date not later than one year from the appointed day as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify.
