(1) The State Govenunent may, by notification in the Official Gazette, delegate any of its powers, except the power of making rules, exercisable by it under this Act or the rules made thereunder, to the Director in such matters and subject to such terms and conditions, if any, as may be specified in such notification. (2) The Director may, with the prior approval of the State Government, by an order in writing, delegate any of its powers exercisable by him under this Act or the rules made thereunder to the Regional Fire Officer or the Chief Fire Officer subject to such terms and conditions, if any, as may be specified in such order.
