It shall be the duty of every toll-keeper, toll-contractor or farmer to hang up in some conspicuous place at his ferry-station a table of tolls, written or printed in English and in the language of the district. 14[ and he shall be bound to pro- duce, on demand, a list of tolls signed by the Executive Engineer of the division, or, as the case may be, the Collector of the district or such other officer as he appoints in this behalf.]
