This Act may be cited as the Bombay Ferries 34[and Inland Vessels] Act, 1868. 35[19.The Hyderabad Ferries Act in its application to the Hyderabad area of the State of Bombay, the Northern India Ferries Act, 1878, in its application to the Vidarbha region of the State of Bombay and the Bombay Ferries and Inland Vessels Act, 1868, as applied to the Kutch area of the State of Bombay are hereby repealed: Provided that the repeal shall not affect :- (a) the previous operation of any Act so repealed or anything duly done or suffered thereunder, or (b) any right, privilege, obligation or liability acquired, accrued or incurred under any Act so repealed, or (c) any penalty, forfeiture or punishment incurred in respect of any offence committed against any Act so repealed, or (d) any investigation, legal proceeding or remedy in respect of any such right, privilege, obligation, liability, penalty, forfeiture or punishment as aforesaid, Definition of "vessel", Provisions of sections 14A to 14G and 17A and 17B not applicable in certain cases I of 1917 XV of 1908. II Gujarat Ferries and Inland Vessels Act, 1868 and any such investigation, legal proceeding or remedy may be instituted, continued or enforced, and any such penalty, forfeiture or punishment may be imposed, as if the Bombay Ferries and Inland vessels (Unification and Amendment) Act, 1959, had not been passed : Provided further that anything done or any action taken (including notifications and directions issued, rules, appointments, authorizations, entrustment and leases made, sanctions, approval or exemption given, powers delegated and orders passed, in so far as they are not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act and the rates of tolls fixed under the Acts so repealed shall continue in force until altered, amended oxed) erseded by anything done or any action taken under this Act.] 36SCHEDULE 37[ ( See section 2A) ] Under Powers.
