In the Indian Electricity Act, 1910 in its application to the State of Gujarat, in section 36, after sub-section (2), the following sub-section shall be added, namely:- “(3) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in sub- section (2) or any other provision of this Act, an appeal shall lie from the decision of the electrical inspector appointed by the State Government to the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission referred to in section 3 of the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003.”.
