(1) The Commission shall consist of a Chairperson and two other members to be appointed by the State Government on the recommendation of a Selection Committee constituted under section 6. (2) Out of three members, - (a) one shall be a person who has special knowledge and professional experience in the field of engineering related to generation, transmission, distribution or supply of electricity; Establishment and incorportation of Commission Headquarters of Commission. Constitution of Commission. vii (b) the other two shall be the persons who have special knowledge and professional experience in the field of finance, commerce, economics, regulation of industry, law or management: Provided that not more than one member shall be appointed having professional knowledge and experience in the same field. (3) A member of the Commission shall render whole time service and shall not hold any other office during his tenure of office. (4) On occurrence of any vacancy in the office of a member due to death, resignation or any other reason, the same shall be filled in by the State Government in the manner provided in this Act.
