(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in any law for the time being in force, any person who establishes a generating station or acquires a generating station, or extends or replaces major unit of plant or works pertaining to generation of electricity in a generating station, shall furnish information relating to such establishment, acquisition, extension or replacement in such form and manner as may be prescribed, to the State Government and the Commission within seven days of such establishment, acquisition, extension or replacement. H -68-8 xxix (2) A generating company shall make available to the State Government, the Commission and the Licensees such information as may be prescribed by the State Government or as may be directed by the Commission relating to the generation plan, shut down proposed for planned maintenance, break down of the plant and other factors affecting the generation and supply of electricity for the purposes of facilitating the effective planning of the power purchase and procurement process in the State.
