The Court of Wards may sell, exchange, mortgage, charge or let the property of a Government ward, and may do all such things as it may judge to be best for the benefit of the property and the advantage of the Government ward: Provided that- (a) the previous sanction of the 5[ State Government ] shall be required to any sale, exchange or mortgage of, or charge on, immovable property and to any lease of such property a term exceeding ten years, and (b) where one-third of the immovable property of a Government ward has been sold or exchanged no further sale or exchange shall be made.
