The Executive Council shall be the chief executive body of the University and shall consist of the following members, namely:- (i) the Vice-Chancellor, ex-officio Chairperson; (ii) the Secretary to the Government of Gujarat, Higher Education or his nominee not below the rank of Deputy Secretary; (iii) the Secretary to the Government of Gujarat, Finance Department or his nominee not below the rank of Deputy Secretary; (iv) the Commissioner of Higher Education, Gujarat State or his nominee not below the rank of Joint Director; (v) the Director General; (vi) two members of the Academic Council to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; (vii) four members to be nominated by the State Government from amongst the members of the General Council; (viii) the Finance and Accounts Officer; (ix) the Registrar shall be the Member-Secretary.
