(l) The Academic Council shall be the academic body of the University and shall consist of the following members, namely:- (i) the Vice-Chancellor. ex-officio Chairperson; (ii) the Pro-Vice-Chancellor; (iii) the Deans of raculties: (iv) 1101 more than six members from the members of Faculties. who are not Deans, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; (2) The term of oflice of the members of the Academic Council other than ex-officio members shall be three years: Provided that a member sp;.-cificd in the clauses (iii) and (iv) of sub-section {I) shall cease to hold office as such member if he (PART lV PART IV] GUJARAT GOVERNMENTGAZETIE, EX. 01-04-2017 ceases to be a Dean of a Faculty, or as the case may be, a member of the respective faculty.
