Without prejudice to the generality of the provisions of this Act, the Director General shall: • (i) exercise general supervision and control over the day to day affairs of the University; (ii) preside over al the meetings of the Academic Council and the Finance Committee; (iii) ensure implementation of the decisions of the aulhorities of the University; (iv) ensure that the provisions oftbis Act and the regulations are faithfully followed; (v) be responsible for imparting of instmction and maintenance of discipline in the University; and (vi) exercise such other powers and perfonu such other duties as may be assigned to him by or under this Act or the regulations or as may be delegated to him by the Board or by the Chairman or any committee of the University.
