Short title, extent and commencement.— (1) This Act may be called the Goau Weights and Measures (Enforcement) Act, 1968. (2) It extends to the whole of the Union Territory of Goa, Daman and Diu. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act or for different areas or for different classes of undertakings or for different classes of goods.
