Dissolution of Planning and Development Authorities

Dissolution of Planning and Development Authorities.— (1) Where the Government is satisfied that the purpose for which any Planning and Development Authority was established under this Act, have been substantially achieved so as to render the continued existence of the Planning and Development Authority in the opinion of the Government unnecessary, the Government may, by notification, declare that the Planning and Development Authority shall be dissolved with effect from such date as may be specified in such notification. (2) With effect from the date of dissolution of a Planning and Development Authority under sub-section (1) except where a direction is issued under section 137 all properties, rights and liabilities of such Planning and Development Authority shall vest in the Government.
