Special provision in case of a dissolution or supersession of a local authority.— (1) Where a local authority which is a Planning and Development Authority under this Act, is dissolved or superseded under the provisions of the Act by which such local authority is constituted, the person or persons appointed under that Act to exercise the powers and perform the duties of such local authority shall be deemed to be a local authority within the meaning of clause (18) of section 2 of this Act and may exercise all the powers and perform all the duties of a Planning and Development Authority under this Act, during the period or dissolution or suppression of such local authority. (2) In the event of a person or persons appointed under sub-section (1) to exercise the powers and perform the duties of a Planning and Development Authority under this Act, any property, which under the provisions of this Act vest in the Planning and Development Authority exercising such powers and performing such duties shall, during the period of such dissolution or supersession, vest in the Government and such property shall, at the end of the said period vest, in such local authority as the Government may, by notification direct.
