Books to be maintained by the Special Notary and District Special Notary.— (1) The Special Notaries shall maintain:– (i) a daily register of instruments drawn under this Act; (ii) a register of index of wills; (iii) a book of public wills; (iv) a register of printed open wills; (v) a register of approval of closed wills; (vi) a register of deposit of closed wills; (vii) a register of opening of closed wills; (viii) a register of return of closed wills; (ix) a register of rehabilitation of a person unworthy to succeed; (x) a register of refusal to act as executor; (xi) a register of record of acquiescence given by the spouses;a register of renunciation of inheritance, adoption, ante-nuptial agreements, revocation of wills, declaration of heirship, orders refusing to perform an act and such other acts provided under law to be performed by the Special Notary; (xii) a register of Special Power of Attorney; (xiii) a register of declaration under clauses (c) and (d) of section 1; (xiv) a register of plans. (xv) a register of all other documents filed in his office; (xvi) a register of index of other instruments; (xvii) book of accounts of fees and stamp duty. (2) The District Special Notary shall maintain a register of orders made in appeal against orders of the Special Notaries.
