Powers and Duties of Examination Committee

Powers and Duties of Examination Committee.— (1) Subject to the provisions of the Act and the Rules made thereunder, the Examination Committee shall have the following duties and functions, namely:— (i) to consider and forward its observation to the Academic Council on any proposal to amend the schemes of the final Examination as set out from time to time; (ii) to recommend to the Executive Council, the rates of travelling allowance, remuneration or honoraria for various items of work connected with the final examinations; (iii) to recommend to the Executive Council qualifications and disqualifications of and rates of remuneration payable to Paper-setters, Translators, Moderators, Examiners etc.; (iv) to recommend to the Executive Council, general principles to be followed by the Board, in regard to the preparation of panels and appointment of Paper-Setters, Moderators, Translators, Examiners etc.; (v) to generally review the results (after they are declared) of the final examinations and submit its observations to the Academic Council; (vi) to recommend to the Executive Council suitable forms of certificates and provisional certificates to be issued to successful candidates and statement or memorandum or marks to all candidates in respect of the final examinations.
