Withdrawal of Application for settlement.— (1) An applicant, may withdraw his application filed under section 5 within a period of six months from the date of submission of such application or within one month from the date of receipt of intimation of letter of intimation of settlement amount, whichever is earlier. In case of withdrawal of the application, the pre-deposit paid by the applicant while filing application for settlement shall stand forfeited in favour of the Government.
