Crediting proceeds of duty.— The proceeds of the duty collected under section 3 of this Act shall be credited to the Government treasury and shall be utilised by the Department to create infrastructure for, and maintain, public lighting and to settle the bills towards the energy consumed for the public lighting, in the State of Goa.
